Lets get straight to it, It’s day four of the Thread Faction SS2016 Blog tour, and I am being blown away by the awesome hacks all the amazing bloggers are coming up with. So after my bit, make sure you scroll down and check out their amazing posts and all the prizes, it is well worth the effort. First though…
As I said the other day, I am getting my Youtube channel going with a series of videos demonstrating some basic knit sewing techniques I use in my patterns. Make sure you subscribe as there are lots more tutorial and demo videos to come.
Today’s video is a quick one on how to quickly and easily sew a knit band or cuff. A band or cuff, in my mind, is the quickest and easiest (most foolproof) way to finish off a knit edge. A cuff or band can be used for necklines, sleeve or leg cuffs or even hems.
I don’t use pins for my cuffs and that means I can sew the entire #102 grow-with-me shorties pattern (the pattern pictured above) in just over 8 mins.
The tutorial video features the #103 shorties from the Thread Faction SS2016 Collection.
Now my turn is over, head off and check out today’s amazing makes and hacks from the tour and win yourself some free fabric from our great sponsors!
The others posting today are:
Create 3.5 Bless by Tone The College Seamstress
If you use this technique, be sure to grab some pics and hashtag them #SEW4BUB I would love to see your creations!
As always, thanks for reading.
