Hi everyone. Today is day one of the Thread Faction SS2016 Blog tour and I am so excited to send you off to check out everyone’s makes. But I didn’t want to hold a blog tour and not get in on any of the fun, so you will be getting my two cents worth throughout the tour as well.
My first post of the week is also the debut of my Youtube channel. I will be posting lots of tutorial videos as well as demo videos on how to sew my patterns on there so subscribe to my channel to get those when they are up.
Today’s tutorial was inspired by this post on making fabric twine from quilting cotton scraps, I couldn’t help but try it out to see what the results were like with knit scraps, and after making a few adjustments (number of strands and fabric width) I got a result that I absolutely love. It makes an awesome nautical touch to the #103 pattern featured. would also make great hoody or track pant cords too.
Check it out:
Now head off and check out all the other makes and hacks from the tour. There are great fabric store prizes and discounts, as well as patterns to be won, all the details are included in this post.
The others posting today are:
Nap Time Creations Miss Castelinhos Swoodson Says Needles to say
If you make some Nautical Knit Fabric Twine, be sure to grab some pics and hashtag them #SEW4BUB I would love to see your creations!
As always, thanks for reading.
